A considered home for the length of your posting. In Kiel's Blücherplatz quarter.
Fifty square metres, furnished, for work stays of six months and longer. Five minutes on foot to the weekly market, a quarter of an hour to the water, the city centre within walking distance. Düsternbrook begins next door.
Available from 1 October 2026.
What the flat is set up for
Six months at TKMS. A research post at GEOMAR. A rotation at the university hospital, two semesters at the university.
Too long for a hotel, too short for a flat of your own. By the third week you stop enjoying the walk through the lobby — at reception everyone knows when you come in, when you go out and whether you have someone with you. A flat of your own, meanwhile, means buying furniture, registering electricity, ordering internet, and selling it all again nine months later.
Here you arrive and live. The power is on, the internet is on, the bed is made, and there are beans in the machine — your first cappuccino is one button away. If you want to register your address, or have to, you can do that here — nothing else needs arranging.
Your own kitchen, your own washer-dryer, a desk with sockets at it. And because this is months rather than nights: a wardrobe with a full hanging rail and shelves, a chest of six drawers, crockery for four, a box-spring bed 1.60 by 2.00 metres.
What makes the flat
Everything already here
A full kitchen, your own washer-dryer, storage meant for months. Bed linen and towels are ready, and there is salt and coffee in the cupboard.
Made for working
Two places to choose from: the teak bureau with a leather desk chair in the living room, or the high table in the kitchen — bar stool, sockets and a USB port in the wall, the coffee machine right beside it.
A real address
Bülowstraße 29. Your name goes on the flat door and on the letterbox, and you can register here — as your main residence or a second one. You receive the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung, the confirmation the registration office asks for, when we hand over the keys.
Arriving
We meet you in person, hand over the keys and show you where things are. It takes a quarter of an hour and saves you three messages later. After that we only get in touch if you want us to — but you can always reach us.
